school, middle school and youth league level. Provides proper instruction,
teaching skills and strategies. Understands financial and budgeting processes.
Is knowledgeable and has an understanding of coaching and practicing rules and
policies governed by the NFHS and IHSAA. Positive role model and motivator.
Special Skills, Training or Aptitudes Required or Desired: CPR Certified
Preferred. Will need to meet IHSAA Coaching Certification Requirements by
completing the following NFHS online courses: Concussion, Heat Index Safety,
Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Protecting Students from Abuse and Student Mental
Health and Suicide Prevention. Will need to meet LCSC required Course
Certification, Child Abuse, Mandatory Reporting & Recognition and Response,
Bullying, Recognition & Response.

New Albany High School, the state’s oldest public high school, seeks its next Head Boys Soccer coach. New Albany High School, located directly west of Louisville, KY, is a 3A soccer school with an enrollment of 1847 students. The team plays their home games at one of the premier facilities in the state, Green Valley Soccer Complex. This venue is an all turf pitch dedicated solely to soccer. The facility is equipped with 2 locker rooms, concession stand with restrooms, state of the art press box, ample seating, and stadium lighting.

TITLE: Head Coach - Boys Soccer
CLASSIFICATION: Extra-Duty
REPORT TO: Athletic Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Experience coaching/participating in sports at the high school or collegiate level preferred
● Prior coaching experience is desirable
● Knowledge of NFHS, IHSSA, and/or other applicable rules and regulations
● Knowledge of basic First Aid and Athletic Training practices
● Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, coaches, and community while fostering a positive atmosphere
● Such alternatives to the above as the Administration may find appropriate and acceptable
RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Coaches individual student athletes in mechanics and skills necessary for achievement in competitive sports.
● Coordinates and supervises a regular schedule of practice.
● Encourages sportsmanship and team unity and enforces all sportsmanship guidelines.
● Enforces discipline of contest, school, conference and state rules and regulations.
● Supervises coaching staff; provides opportunity to enhance their professional development.
● Oversees the safety conditions and accountability issues involving students and facilities located both on NAFCS properties and at off campus facilities.
● Maintains accurate records of uniforms, equipment, individual/team statistics, and accomplishments.
● Submits required forms and athletic documents; recommends purchase of equipment and supplies.
● Attends required meetings and clinics for coaches, State and conference selection, and Athletic Boosters.
● Provides and displays a willingness to work with Athletics Department Administration, staff, student athletes,
and parents with a dynamic practice and game schedule.
● Develops a total K-12 program, on and off season, through camps, drills, and training.
● Coordinates and develops effective and sustainable fundraising plan with Athletic Director that is easily
communicated with administration, players, coaches, media, and community.
● Coaches may need to transport athletes in corporation vehicles from time to time, a valid drivers license is
required to meet this responsibility.
● Performs other related duties as assigned by Principal, Athletic Director, and/or other designee.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Hobart High School is accepting applications for the position of Head Boys Soccer Coach for the 2025-2026 school year. The Brickies are a member of the Northwest Crossroads Conference and compete in Class 3A Sectional 2.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience (Head Coach and/or Varsity Assistant preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills with high energy and the ability to motivate and inspire young people.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Provide positive experiences for our student athletes.
- Communicate efficiently & effectively with administration, players, parents, community & media.
- Maintain discipline and accountability within the program while supporting multi-sport athletes.
- Monitor player academic performance, eligibility, and behavior.
- Work directly with Strength and Conditioning coach to develop better athletes.
- Organize and maintain the overall soccer program rules and guidelines, in accordance with IHSAA By-Laws, the Hobart High School Athletic Department policies, and SCOH Handbook.
- Assume responsibility for the overall soccer program and be willing to work with student athletes at all levels of the program both in and out of season.
- Model appropriate behavior on and off the court.
